A very intense low system that developed off the NSW/VIC
coast that caused a great deal of trouble for the 
Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.

Nearly half of those in the race had to pull out and a
number of people died.

The stroms was much stronger then anyone had thought it
would be.

The BoM have made a
loop of the radar images of the event.
